Notice Inviting Applications for the Post of Pastor
Introduction: About Kuki Worship Service Delhi:
The Kuki Worship Service, Delhi (KWSD) is an inter-denominational Fellowship of the Kuki Christian community residing in and around Delhi. It was founded in 1992 with a view to bring together members in the worship of God and to cater to their spiritual needs. The Fellowship aims at propagating the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is also engaged in developing and promoting charitable and social services to the poor and the marginalized. The Fellowship is registered under the Societies Registration Act (XXI) of 1860. Need for a full-time Pastor:
Since 1992, the Fellowship was functioning under the leadership of the Executive Committee. It engaged a Pastor in honorary capacity since 1995. However, with the growth in membership and the growing need for enhanced pastoral care, the Fellowship has since the year 2000 engaged full time Associate Pastor to serve this need, who later, has become the Pastor since 2012. Now, the Fellowship is seeking to recruit a full time Pastor as the term of the current Pastor comes to an end by May 2014.
Role and Function:
- To provide spiritual counseling and leadership, pastoral care and Biblical teaching.
- To carry out such other functions as may be assigned from time to time, with accountability to the Executive Committee for administrative and other functions.
The detail job profile and Hand Book for Pastors shall be provided by the EC and given to the appointed Pastor.
Note: "The candidate duly selected for Pastor will initially serve as and be designated as Associate Pastor during the tenure of the incumbent Pastor or during the period of probation, whichever is earlier. However, if the selected/appointed applicant is the only Pastor, then he will serve as and be designated as Pastor".
Essential Requirements:
The aspiring candidate:-
- Must be an ordained Minister (Document- Ordination Certificate)
2) Must be a graduate from a recognized university in secular education (Document-Mark Sheet/Pass Certificate)
3) Must be holder of a theological degree- BD/M Div. Recognized by Serampore University or Asia Theological Association(ATA) (Document- Mark Sheet/Pass Certificate)
4) Should have Two years work experience in Christian Ministry (Document- Experience Certificate from the concerned Organization).
5) Must be a born again Christian (Document- A testimonial write up).
6) Should produce Commendation Letter from concerned parent church organization in official stationery which shall include No Objection and No Obligation Certificate for the period of engagement.
7) Should produce an undertaking stating that he will be fully available to serve the Lord only through KWSD within the period of engagement and shall have no other obligations to any other Church or Organization of Churches within such period (Document- The candidate shall submit an undertaking to this effect).
Tenure
The Pastor shall ordinarily be appointed on contract for a term of up to five years. There shall be a mandatory probation period of one year, during which the engagement can be terminated at the discretion of the EC. Upon satisfactory completion of probation, the appointee shall be granted confirmation for the remaining four years. Nevertheless, the engagement can still be terminated by either side with a 3 month notice, or on mutual consent.
Salary and Benefits
Monthly take home shall be approximately Rs 30,000/- plus free accommodation with basic furnishings. Provisions will also be made for allowances such as medical reimbursement, insurance and home travel allowance.
