Kuki Worship Service - Delhi

By General Secretary, KWS Delhi

The Kuki Worship Service, Delhi (KWSD) is an inter-denominational Fellowship of the Kukis residing in and around Delhi. It was founded in 1992 with a view to bring together members in the worship of God and to cater to their spiritual needs. The Fellowship aims at propagating the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and spreading His message of love, salvation and eternal life. Besides, the Fellowship associates and forms networks with Christian organizations and churches and actively participates in such programme and activities. As a congregation of believers, the Fellowship also strives to reach out to develop and promote charitable and social services to the poor and the marginalized.

The KWSD has membership strength of about 700. The Fellowship extends certain privileges and services to the members like holy matrimony, funeral/condolence services, Baptism, counseling, sick visits, child dedication ceremonies, etc. Membership is open to any person who subscribes to the Statement of Faith and the Aims and Objectives of the Fellowship.

Sunday School

The Sunday School programme was started in 1998 with the objective of inculcating Christian Faith and teachings to the children. The programme is run under the supervision of the Sunday School Superintendent and the Assistant Pastor with a few dedicated youths members of the Fellowship as staff. Classes are held side by side with the Sunday worship services.

Project

The Fellowship takes up projects from time to time. The biggest project undertaken so far is the Church Building Project. It was started in 2002 as a result of a felt need for a permanent place of worship. Since its inception, the Fellowship had to shift its place of worship every now and then due to many reasons like want of time, lack of space, unfavorable service timing, unsuitable location and other exigencies. The Church building project was thus conceived in this backdrop. The project is a challenging task. However, it is based on faith in the providence of God. It is open to donations/contributions from fellow believers and like-minded organizations and churches.
