DRAFT CONSTITUTION/GUIDELINE OF AIKWSCC:

DRAFT CONSTITUTION/GUIDELINE OF AIKWSCC:

The First Constitution drafting was done by Rev(Dr) Lamboi Haokip and Pu Lunjalen Khongsai in the year 2005 and the same was circulated among the Units for their review and comments. Meanwhile, it was thought prudent to go slow on its finalization and adoption as AIKWSCC was in nascent stage with the growth dynamics changing the landscape of requirements year by year. However, the need to have a written constitution (which was later renamed as Guideline) for proper functioning of AIKWSCC was reiterated in 2010 and yet again in 2011. Therefore, in June 2012 a new team for Guideline Draft Review Committee consisting of Pu Lunjalen Khongsai, Pu Hethong Haokip and Pu Letminlun Vaiphei was formed. Rev Paothang Haokip, Secy. AIKWSCC, had already circulated the draft Guideline afresh to all the Units. The Units are expected to give their views and comments to the Guideline Draft Review Committee for their consideration. After compiling all comments and subsequent review and re-construction by the Committee, the Guideline will be finally put up to AIKWSCC for its eventual adoption.

ACTIVITIES:

# Since its inception AIKWSCC felt the need to adopt same Logo and Motto by all Units and accordingly, worked towards this end for few years. The initiative started in 2005 was finally facilitated successfully in 2010 and all the units have now the same motto and logo.

# AIKWSCC has been playing a facilitator role in selection of pastor for KWS Units wherever consulted and ensuring engagement of pastor by all the KWS units remains an important challenge in the past and even in the days ahead.

# For organizing specific functions by KWS units where participation by other KWS units is anticipated, AIKWSCC co-ordinates with concerned KWS Unit and such many programs have been conducted successfully. Some of them are cited here:-

# AIKWSCC is spear heading the Khanglai movement by holding AIKWS Conference/Meet periodically for building strong emotional integration, for motivating and inspiring the young generation and every individual to turn to God and serve Him. The movement which started in the year 2000 marked the dawn of a new beginning of hope in God for the young generation of the Kukis, after having gone through several years of ethnic turbulence at home states in the North-Eastern States of India, must bear and carry on the light of hope into the future. After 2000, the conference was organized in Guwahati in 2008 and then in Shillong in 2011. It has been desired to hold the conference at 3(Three) years interval and accordingly, Khanglai-2014 will be held in Bangalore and KWS Bangalore has volunteered to organize the mega function with full of enthusiasm.

# Apart from Khanglai, AIKWSCC is always seeking opportunity to organize trainings, seminars and other conferences, meets, etc whenever possible for the KWS Units.

# In line with its commitment to develop human capital for the service of God, AIKWSCC sponsored Gl.Thangboi Haokip for BD Theological Study Course in Bishop College, Kolkata, with the help of KWS London. He graduated in 2010 and he is now serving as Pastor in KWS Kolkata.

# Vision 2020:

Khanglai 2011 at Shillong gave birth to Vision 2020 in which all the KWS Units where Church Building projects are viable should start their own Church Building Project and other units under AIKWSCC should help in every which way possible so that by 2020 most, if not all, KWS Units should have their own Church Building.

# Education Project:

Education being one of the most important tool in development of human capital for the service of God, AIKWSCC is desiring to start an educational project for transforming the Kuki Community keeping another 50 years prospect in view. However, the idea is yet to take proper shape and gain momentum in terms of commitment and mental & physical preparedness and it remains a dream to be realized.
